My 2001 Safari came with a patio awning only. After a first trip where I found that we had 86 degree temperatures inside (it was 104 out), I added a street side ZipDee which was as long as the Patio awning. I remember it wasn't a patio awning but it did shade the trailer from the belt line up. (I did consider two smaller window awnings on the street side but the cost for the one long awning was slightly less. The bonus was by covering the entire street side, I lessened the heat load on the refrigerator compartment.) I never had heat problems in the Safari again.
With the Classic we have a patio awning, an awning over the slide out on the street side, an awning over the bedroom window street side and a rear awning. I always pull all of them out unless we are just doing an overnight.
ZipDees are not cheap, but they are great quality and obviously you can get them to match your patio awning.
