Unlike the 'other' awning brands, Zip-Dee uses a totally endlosed cylindrical roller tube. The 'other guys' have extruded channels in theirs to accept hooks to hang stuff like rope lights, or like Carefree, they have a large 'utility slot' in their roller tube that can accept some of their thin, tubular flourescent lights.

I usually hang party lights from the valence of my Zip-Dee using paper clamps from a stationary store. They work well.

We use the all plastic clip they sell in the laundry section at Wal-Mart. They work great and have no metal parts to rust. I have provided a photo of these clips.

I agree with Michelle. We use the binder clips (available in several sizes) from any office supply or dollar store. Work fine.

I purchased special awning clips from campers world few years back. They are made entirely of plastic and have a clip on the top for attaching to the awning valance and a clip on the bottom for clipping onto the lighting wiring.

We added gromets every 24" to attach lights, or flowers.

You see is not so great..they sag.
Maybe a clear tube to slip them inside of.
