Removing a Zip Dee Awning

How does one go about removing the Zip Dee Awning? Do I try to slide the fabric out of the metal wrap or do you try to get the wrap out of the awning rail? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, George

The last strip of aluminum is crimped onto the fabric.
Best to remove the fabric with that one strip of aluminum.
Then on ground can open the crimps

If you order new fabric, they will ask you if you want a new strip crimped on.
DO IT!
Saves you many problems.

You should be able to remove the end screws and just slide out one segment of the metal while someone holds the drum, once back on the ground if you're going to reuse it you can reassemble. Don't forget to unwind the tension spring before you cut things loose.

So you open the awning enough to undo the arms and unwind the spring, the roll it back up, take out the screw and slide the whole works out? Thanks for the picture! Seeing is believing. George
