Rear window awning
I decided yesterday to install the Carefree of Colorado awning that came with my TT from the PO. The trailer at one time had the same brand of awning installed because every place I needed to drill had a pop rivet installed it the exact spot . It made the job easy! The first two pictures are the before and required tools.

Next, drill out the old rivets and mount the hardware (2 brackets and the top strip).

This is the only awning I have on my TT now. I do have a new ZipDee Patio (curbside) awning being shipped to me as we speak. It's the same color and that project is next. The rear awning was just a warm up for the big one.

That looks great! They are so nice when they are new! Our trailer has Zip Dee all around, curb side awning, street side shade and rear shade like below. It looks like the major difference is that the Zip Dee has the aluminum at the top to roll up into for protection. Those rear braces and brackets look similar, although the arms might not be as substantial.

Actually, the aluminum that Zip-Dee uses on their struts and supports is a much heavier guage than either Carefree or A&E awnings, allowing thhem to use a narrower dimensional piece. You will see Zip- Dees on just about every older Prevost and hi-end motor home before they started using the new strutless electyric models and of course, the new Silver bullets. I have them all around on my 19' CCD and love 'em.

It came with the trailer from the PO (not installed). It's a viny coated fabric. I matched the color for my patio cover. The color for zipdee is 4805-0000 Pacific blue/natural - 6 bar.
