Rally/Caravan Awning Position

I thought I read somewhere about a Rally or Caravan position for Zip Dee awnings (partially extended for tight quarters). However, I can't find any information about this, so maybe I dreamed it.

I saw this picture recently and wonder if this is the mysterious position, or if this owner just doesn't know how to put up a Zip Dee.

The procedure you mention is half way down this page:
Awnings By ZipDee

What you see in the picture is an easy way to bend your main arms...
