old style awning ????

I have a 68 overlander with an awning attatched but it isn"t a pole and rope
it roles up manualy with a ratchet at the end of the awningtube.
I have seperate extensions for the poles that are on the trailer and I have to tie it down with ropes.
does anyone have an awning similair like this??

regards George

Pictures would help! It may be that you are not setting it up correctly if you have to tie it down to keep it deployed. If it is a Carefree awning it should have rafter arms and arm supports to keep it open without tying it down. It doesn't appear to be a Carefree so perhaps an A&E or some other brand. Ed

I think your awning was made by Carter, who have been out of business for several years.
