missing parts Astrup Port-A-Frame pole awning

I am the fairly new owner of a 1955 Flying Cloud (yea!) and am trying to put together what looks to be the original canvas awning that is in great shape. I have all the poles that are needed but there are three missing "tension adjusting spring assemby". These attach the adjustable frame poles to the rafter bars and the springs keep it pushed in against the camper. They are pieces possibly about 5-7" long (???) and made up of a tension adjusting rod w/hex nut and compression spring.

I have contacted Astrup (which is now TriVantage) with no luck. Also tried Vintage Trailer Supply. I have all the original diagrams and pictures that came with the awning so if anyone thinks they might have the missing pieces I could fax the instruction sheet to be sure.

I gues my next step would be to order a completely new set of poles/frame--but I hate to waste all these parts!

Thanks for any help!
