Main Awning End Lock Alignment
It is as if my awning is about an inch too long. I have a 2002 Classic with the rotary wheel locks on each end. When I roll the awning up the part of the latch that the wheel center shaft (the wheel part, not the threaded rod) is supposed to recess into is a full diameter of the shaft out of alignment. It is so far out that it is difficult to screw the wheel down without the shaft popping out of the recess it is supposed to go into. The problem typically occurs at the rear latch even though I hook the travel latch first and then the rotary end latches. The front one lines up reasonably well.
The fact that the the rear one is the problem and it is so close to the hook latch would seem to indicate a problem with the rear rotating joint. Is there any kind of wear or failure that would allow the end to move out a half inch or more? I checked as best I knew how and it is firmly attached.
Thanks,
Al
