How much is a new awning for a 31 footer?

I was wonder about how much a new Zip Dee awning canvas would be for a 31 footer. I expect they are not cheap. Can you buy the canvas and install it yourself? My awning still works but the seams are rotting and the canvas has in a couple of places as well.

You can buy the fabric and install it yourself. When you order it, you'll need to tell the person you order it from it's a 21' patio awning.
The Reader's Digest version of the installation instructions are:
Take loose the rear rafter arm, and unwind the arm. It has a spring with lots of tension, be very careful. Drill out the rivets holding the old fabric to the roller tube, unscrew the center cover slat, and slide th old fabric off the tube. Installation is the reverse of removal, and the spring gets wound one turn per foot of awning.

Are you talkin about ordering the raw material and making one or getting one already hemed and seamed? I assume you would need to have them make one that is the length of the roller tube and whatever the span is. I guess there could be a little more material on the roller than you will actually end up using?

You order the material premade, you slide it onto the roller and rivet it in place. The only part you end up not "using" is the part that is a loop at the roller end that the roller goes through.

I priced an awning co in Ft Wayne, IN that said $350ish-$550ish (depends on the type of fabric chosen) for them to make it plus another $120-$150 for them to install. They use the sunbrella fabric.
we have a 31' AS with a 21' awning
