How much for your awning??

Yikes

Just got a quote for a 10ft zip dee awning... Approx 1600 before shipping , add At least another 500 for that plus duty at the border for canada.

You guys who bought a&e, are the prices a lot cheaper? I understand zip dee may be the cats ass, but I can't spend over 2 thousand dollars on an awning. Price seems quite out
Of wack....maybe I'm wrong? And yes, the quote is directly from zip dee. It was 850 for the awning, and another 600 for the hardware...

First of all you only need a 9 foot awning.

Yes, Zip Dee is the best.

You shouldn't need to pay duty, only taxes since it would be covered under NAFTA. Also, it might be worthwhile checking into Kinek and having it shipped to a border point and picking it up on the US side (maybe you were already planning this). I bought some Zip Dee parts and did it that way because the shipping was vastly cheaper. I really like my Zip Dees but it came with my trailers and I didn't buy them new.

I usually ship to bellingham and go across and pick up but always get dinged for gst coming over because I'm
Not over the border long enough.

I'll keep looking into it tho

Mine is a bit tricky as we're getting close to the end of the concession build, it's been very customized and the awning is going to be on the other side of the trailer. As you can see from the older pic of itClick image for larger version
