How do you know who made your awning?

This forum is the BOMB!!! I've read some great stuff on here. I've got a 73', 31' international. How can you tell who made the awning and it's hardware? I've looked on the ZipDee web sight and can't find the style of awning arms that are on my TT. I'm not sure if I can fix what I've got or I need to replace it. The fabric seems to be in fair shape except for some stains and a small tear in the rubber part that protects the awning when rolled all the way up. I've also got to hand roll it up so, i'm assuming some springs have sprung somewhere..... Any help pointing me in the right direction in finding the manufacturer and parts would be great!!

neal if your hardware doesn`t look like zip dee then probably you have a carefree of cloorado awning. they are still available and any RV dealer can order them for you. Does the awning roll up smoothly or does it lump up and down as if the tube is bent.
Read this thread for how to buy a new Dometic awning.

If you could post a pic I'm sure someone will know what you have.

Here's an uploaded manual for Carefree awnings -- commonly installed on Argosy trailers in the 70s.

We have a Carefree awning system with the blue and white striped awning (I call it the circus tent awning) We would love to replace the awning portion with the same as what we have now. Any suggestions on where to start would be great. The Carefree website was not much help.
