There is also the rope and pole awnings that look much better on a vintage unit and will be less apt to become destroyed by a wind storm. Vintage Trailer Awning They take a couple of minutes to set up, but are very strong in wind and rain.

Highly recommend Fox Tent in Ann Arbor, Michigan if you go vintage, they have been in business for 88 years. Also, highly recommend a pulley system for your ropes/poles, we where in 60 mile an hour winds and they held, fun to watch the pulley system work.
