Hanging Lights on Awning

Warning: this is an obvious newbie question so be gentle.

How do you hang string lights on your awning? My wide bought me a set of the acrylic globe string lights and I'm not sure what the best way to hang them is. Any advice?

I bought plastic clips at target. They are in the same area where the string lights are. I have seen many varieties on the internet too

We put them up this weekend and used those paper fasteners that have the black clips...worked like a charm!

Clothes pins/pegs worked for us but are only good for the lighter weight lights.

I use the badge clips that you can buy at any office supply. Tried the clips they have at Camping World and they are cumbersome to use.

Stainless steel wire clothespins are really handy for this... we use them for all sorts of stuff around the house, and being stainless, they don't rust when they get rained on.

The plastic clips from VTS are really easy to use and can stay on the string of lights when you take them down. Vintage Trailer Supply - parts and supplies for vintage travel trailers!

Ronnie I sure hope this is a typo otherwise when your wife reads this you'll be living in the airstream while she gets a divorce lawyer.

I tried the small 'binder' clips for a while but they did not seem to stand up to gentle breezes. I have found the ID badge holders to hold better. I found them in the office supply area at Wal Mart. A pack of 10 was less than $3.00.

Good Luck and Welcome to the Forum
