Here's is Pattyo's new Zip Dee on her Minuet 6.0
Here's my sister's Argosy Minuet 6.0 with it's newly installed Zip Dee awning. The color of the awning matches her tow vehicle.

Minuet Zipdee awning cost
With installation our zipdee (above posted by myboyburt) was $1500.00. Well worth it!

Did you know, Zip Dee will make an awning in any Sunbrella fabric color...matching chairs too! There's bound to be one or two to suit your fancy!
Sunbrella (click "Fabric Showroom", then "Awning")
Anything with orange/brown would be cool on an Argosy if they want to keep it "retro" ~

Stove vent cover
The zipdee awning blocks the stove vent cover from opening when awning is closed. Not a big deal for me, I don't cook, here is a picture of awning closed

You can get the awning in many different colors. Follow the link to the showroom. Sunbrella Fabric Showroom
You can save some money if you install the awning yourself. You can order the awning from Inland Andy and have it shipped to your home. The awning for my 25' Trade Wind was around $1250 + $135 for shipping. That price was over a year ago and prices have gone up. With the cost of fuel, shipping has gone up as well.

Zip-Dee prices went up an average of 16% last year on Aug.1. Lots of folks took advantage of the lower prices by placing their orders before the increase. Shipping now typically runs upwards of $200 due to 'fuel surcharges'.
If you want to go really first class.....look at their upper end lateral arm Century awnings that have no visible support until they are extended. Only down side to them is the price.....they cost about the same as a vintage unit in nice shape but un-restored.

John,
If you are on the Sunbrella site, be sure to limit your choices to the RV or 'awning' fabric section. they make some fabrics that Zip-Dee won't use.

FWIW The installation of the zip-dee is really staight-forward. They include great directions with the purchase and have a support phone line actually answered by a person who is very knowledgeable.! One of the few times when I have installed something that I didn't have to "ad lib" during the installation. Total time was less than an hour. Had help from a neighbor who mostly held up the other end.

BTW Our color was "sand" and it was an alternating sand and white strip. It looks great!

you can pick up your zip-dee right from them and since you live out of stat you will pay no sales tax i think. beccause when i was looking to get one they told me to use an out of state address so I would not have to pay sales tax. they say there easy to install

Ours is original. The fabric is in good shape but the stitching is beginning to rot.

the word from zip dee is that pattern original to argosy 20's is called fancy brown and it is still available.
yuki,
yes there is such a pattern but it has green in it. i do not know the official name for it, i saw a brown green orange awning on a 60's trailer in florida and that is what the owner called it.

Photo needed
Just looked at all the Sunbrella choices ... WOW! I really liked the stripes, especially for a vintage gem. What is the color of the Minuet? Could you post a photo? There are many nice combinations that would go with the original tan/beige.

You can check out an install I did with the DIY Network early last year. It was pretty easy and looked GREAT. I also posted a photo of the install on this GREAT site under photos - mcrickc
