Cleaning Zipdees

I have a Zipdee with a canvas rag that I am cutting down to install on my Tradewind. I have the canvas off and am thinking it's a good time to clean the canvas. The canvas still looks like it has a lot of life left. Suggestions for cleaning?

Also I need a few Zipdee arm parts if anyone has any to sell.

We use a solution of Woolite and water. Get the fabric wet, Rub soap in with the soft bristled brush, Roll awning up for the length of a few beers, open and rinse with lots of water. I rinse top first then bottom and then top again. We do this every spring, and just a good rinse and brush in the fall ( to get the loose dirt off before winter). This is the method my grandfather used and the awning is 19 years old and looks brand new.

What do you think about a rinse with a pressure washer?

Lumatic,
When we got our '87 the main awning was pretty nasty from not being used. I used my pressure washer with the normal strength nozle and it cleaned up almost as good as new. It took a couple of passes, but it was worth the effort. It has been two years since I pressure washed it an it still looks great and sheds water like it was new. Since then I use the mild soap, soak, brush, roll up, let rolled up for about half an hour, unroll, rinse, and let dry method to keep it clean.
I guess it also depends on the age and strength of the fabric. You might want to start with the gentle nozle if your pressure washer has different settings or nozles.
