carefree awning parts

I am trying to install a carefree awning on a 69 safari. I have everything I need except one tension bracket. (surprise) If anyone has one or knows where I can find one , please let me know.. this is the arm that goes from the body of the trailer to the curved arm.. with top bracket to attach to trailer. Try checking PPLmotorhomes.com They have parts for both A&E and Carefree awnings, and might have something that will work.

good luck!

nope

I tried PPL first, they dont carry or have available any older parts. The guy said pre 1990 is just not possible. The new hardware is shaped differently, but in the end, If I cant find what I need, I will have to adapt new hardware. The fabric and roller tube are new, and they will fit the main arms. thanks for looking, Richard

Carefree awning parts

Dixie722,

Good luck with your search. I think I'm one of the lucky ones that inherited a Carefree awning with just about all the parts. However, I can't seem to figure out what these are? Any ideas?

I just remove the carefree awning hardware from my trailer. I have all parts. If you can send me a picture of exactly what you need I can get it for you.

parts

I was lucky, someone had the arm bracket I needed. However, if you are tired of fooling with the carefree stuff, I would take all of it.. brackets, hardware, arms, the whole bit. I have another roll and fabric that I have not been able to sell, it is 1 foot too long for the trailer I am working on., I have an international that has nothing, and I could put it on that one. please let me know, thanks for all the help..richard 409 893 0161

I am in need of the awning roller tube end caps for my Carefree awning on my 1969 Overlander Land Yatch. One of our caps broke when we were retracting the awning. If you have these and would consider parting with them, please let me know.

Here is a section from a carefree installation manual that shows the sliding lock. Hope this helps.
