Question Carefree Awning Bracket Help

I have a 1969 AS Trade Wind that has a Carefree of Colorado Spirit Awning that is somewhere around a 1988 model. There is a bracket that attaches from the upper brace arm to the bracket on the top of the Airstream. I have the manual that came with the awning, however this part is not shown. The manual listed an "upper bracket standoff kit" which I ordered thinking it was the correct part, but it was not. The C of C dealer that I am dealing with cannot figure out what part it is. Looking at it, it is probably specific to Airstreams, and may not be a Carefree of Colorado part at all. Any help you can provide at identifying a manufacturer, name, part number, or supplier will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You can call Carefree, they are quite helpful over the phone. I had a part replaced, I sent them an E-mail with a pic of the broken piece.

Carefree Help

I called Carefree - looked the number up on the internet - they will likely know exactly what you are talking about . For what was less than $10.00 in parts they faxed us a diagram and asked us to circle what parts we needed. Great company IMHO.

I called Carefree again, and they said that the standoff bracket kit (part number 249153) was changed at some point and the old part is no longer available. I am still assuming that this is in fact the standoff bracket.
