Caravan position with Zip Dee awning

When I have my zip dee awning in the caravan position "Half way" it will roll out farther if a it rains or a wind gust comes in. Is there any way to keep it looked on the rails like it is when the awning is all the way out.

FYI it is a 2013 30ft international with a manual awning.

Thanks in advance
DQ

The older Zip Dee awnings had a locking ratchet in the roller tube, making it possible to lock the tube in the caravan position. You would have to find a way to lock the tube on newer awnings.

The older lock called a Z lock also came with a warning not to lock it with the awning extended. It was intended to lock the awning when it was rolled up to keep it from unrolling going down the road. The warning was intended to keep someone from being stuck with an extended awning if the lock broke.
