I did exactly that on my vintage rock guard. I simply copied my Dad's design and sent the pattern to ZipDee. They made it to match the awning. I have since had ZipDee make a streetside window awning .

BTW.... My Dad had this awnings for all the windows on his '59. Also, he didn't have a rock guard on the '59.
