can an awning be added to an as that doesnt have the hardware

hello there i am new to this airstream stuff and this is my first post.i am looking for an older airstream and found one but it did not have an awning or hardware(the big heavy duty arms),can these be added or would it be better to find one with the awning hardware in tact. i would appreciate any advice on books for restoring air streams.thank you for your time

Awnings can be added to an Airstream.

But, the year and length, must be exactly known, in order for the awning to be the correct size along with the proper hardware.

You can purchase a Zip Dee and have it shipped to your door for about $1200.

The big heavy duty arms are not Zip Dee. There's a ton of stuff on the forums...this place is a bottomless pit of AS info. Hopefully this info will get you started.
