The replacement allows the awning to rest on the shell.

We have had them ever since that happened. They are made with fiberglass.

Hi Andy - slightly confused. Nothing too unusual about that...

The vent cover on our trailer is aluminum I believe. But, be that as it may, if it interferes with the awning, then it needs to be replaced or moved.

Are you saying you carry a replacement cover that will not interfere with the awning and still use the same vent opening in the trailer?

Chris

The "hood" of the stove vent cover is too high towards the awning rail.

It's replacement moves the "hood" away from the awning rail downward.

Moving the "hood" downward has no effect on the vent exhaust system, but does allow the awning to rest on the shell instead of the raised part of the vent cover.

Nope, can't get the blue and white stripe anymore. There's lots of choices on the Sunbrella website, though. There is one that is dark blue and tan/grey large stripe, but I was afraid that it would look weird next to a vintage "real blue and white" awning, so we found the one we bought so's we wouldn't do what everyone else has.

I ordered satin Alumaguard and R-172 Blue Acrylic fabric. View sample at http://www.recasensusa.com/recasens-awnings.html

More like the old blue stirpes? - 4921

4921 looks pretty close to the old ones. The white is more a canvas color.

We thought about that color, but I was afraid if we got near any "true" blue and white awnings that it would look dirty.....
