Thatís what we thought ~ however a phone call to zipdee who looked up our trailer is where the 3k estimate came from. Same with other Airstream dealers. Thank you for your input = we have more calls to make to get to the bottom of this.

Look into damaged airstream trailers. Maybe you can save some of the arms and parts. The actual canvas should be not too much

If you are handy, remove the awning and remove the fabric, take it to a local awning business and they can make another one for a fraction of the cost. They will use yours as a pattern

Marti's Vintage Trailer Awnings

Check out Marti's Vintage Trailer Awnings site. She has beautiful fabrics and does great work at very reasonable prices. I am very happy with my awning!

Try this

Get a littler trailer. The awning for my Ď56 Bubble was only a couple hundred. The money you save will pay for the sunscreen.

Looks like a great deal. Iím sure it will work flawlessly for years to come
Alibaba says you have to a minimum order of 20 cartons (awnings) for the $210.00 price.

Unfortunately, it looks like you have to place a minimum order of 20 cartons to get the $210.00 price

eBay option

We got a new awning (old-school style) on eBay from "canvasreplacements" for under $500. Looks great on the '62 Globetrotter we renovated and have up for sale! Also looked at awnings from Vintage Trailer Supply, but their green ones were backordered.

Marti's Vintage Trailer Awnings

This is a photo of my awning, purchased from Marti's Awnings, that I have installed on my 25' 1972 Land Yacht. It is definitely worth the money and as I recall not very expensive, including the poles. I recommend calling her and seeing what she can make for you!

Two things for you...
1) I just purchased an awning from Zipdee about a week ago for my Argosy. I called Zipdee to get the right part numbers but actually ordered through a local RV dealership. It came out around 2k plus another 2-300 for shipping. It was a nothing fancy Zipdee with a custom fabric on it. Maybe try ordering from a local Zipdee dealer like I did.

2) If you want it and you want to pay the shipping, I have an old awning from a conventional RV that you're welcome to have. One of the arms is a little bent but all of the parts are there (I think). I removed it from an RV I bought years ago to use as a parts donor, it was hit by a tree. It is your for FREE if you just pay for anything shipping related. The fabric is blue/white striped but the fabric at the top that is always exposed is dried up and cracking. New vinyl fabric are cheap on ebay and are actually decent quality.

Thanks for the offer . Curious why you chose to buy new vs rebuilding this conventional awning. I also thought that conventional awnings would not work on airstreams or squarestreams. Thoughts?

Consider a bag awning like pop up trailers use. Very easy to install. They go up easier than pole awnings. I have one on my 62 Globetrotter.
