Awning shade recomendations...

Well, the "wife" says we need to get a shade for the awning...you would think after 4 AS's over the years we would have figured this one out; not so. I see the Zip Dee screen at $255 for the 15' screen shade...I see all these "knock offs" a lot cheaper. I understand the Zip Dee will require some installation using pop rivet gun to put in some snaps. Not sure how the knock offs will connect. Also interested in the "claw" for securing to the ground ($84/2) vs regular stakes...

Any suggestions and experiences are appreciated.

Sun shade for Zip Dee

Get the Zip Dee. Yes, it costs for a 15' shade. However, A friend of mine purchased one for his new Airstream last December and it is a really nice shade. He did not use rivets to attach snaps to the awning roller. He used self tapping screws and that worked well. I helped him do the install. Took about 1 hour including downing a couple of cold beverages. We were in Florida. It rolls up with the awning if you retract at campsite. It easily unsnaps and stores for travel. Expensive for a 15' shade, but worth it. I will be ordering one for our brand new 2019 FC 25 RB twin to keep us cool in Florida next winter. Happy travels.

Thanks for that; anyone else? Also, any input on the "claw" anchors? Seem expensive also, but look interesting vs spikes...
