awning repair/maintence ?

Hi all,
I just bought a '74 ambassador and I see that the large awning is showing daylight at the top of the awning nearest the roof/roller, when it is rolled out. Is there a product that I can use to extend the life of the canvas or vinyl? Also seeing "bb" size holes in the smaller awning. I'm thinking perhaps there is a product you can brush on? Needs to be more than the 1oz tube of stuff that camping world sells.
