I am currently looking at a 1976 31'Sovereign with the intent on purchasing it. It currently doesn't have an awning and doesn't appear to ever of had one. I'm trying to get a ballpark figure on how much one would cost for the curb side.
I have no idea how long they normally are on this size AS nor how many different companys make them for the AS.
Also, would it be just a simple bolt on installation or is it more indepth?
We had a good experience with Inland RV. Call Andy with your serial number and color choice and he can get you the correct awning and a price of course. There are other vendors too, probably great but only have first hand experience on awnings with Inland.
Awning rivets on to the trailer. Awning came with all the parts, very clear directions on what brackets go where, how to measure, the correct rivets etc. In addition to the awning you'd need sealer for the rivets, and a few drill bits, not much else, maybe a couple screw drivers and of course a drill.
Probably took an our or so to install ours. You just need a few helpers to hold things but it isn't complicated.

I have no idea, but if you measure the length of your awning rail on your tradewind, I'd guess its about 7 feet longer than that measurement. I pretty sure they only determined length on the straight panels, not the curves.

Goransons - As far as measuring my Tradewind.... Dec 30th we had a pretty servere windstorm and a tree fell on the front. (HAPPY NEW YEAR). The next day it snowed and has been snow and tree covered ever since. The door opens, but the front is crushed pretty good. I'll find out when the snow is gone exactly how bad.
Well, It doesn't look like I will be needing this awning after all. I didn't buy the 1976 31' Sovereign. The rear frame had a lot of rust and was getting punky. I felt it would be alot of work. Thats okay.... the search goes on.
