Awning for 61 Overlander

What are the best awning options for a 61 overlander? We have two large dogs and are concerned they (we) would have problems with the post and rope while we are outside enjoying the patio.

There are two basic awning options; vintage and ZipDee.

Vintage take a little longer to setup and remove, have poles and ropes to contend with and look very cool on a vintage trailer.

ZipDee awnings need to be installed (once), are very easy to extend and retract, have no poles or ropes and cost a bunch more then a vintage awning.

There are pictures of our ZipDee awning on our '61 Overlander in the members section of the photos. We ordered it direct from ZipDee(zipdee.com). Vintage Trailer Supply(Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!) has the vintage awnings.

Thank you. We're not quite ready to make the purchase but want to be prepared for what's ahead!

What can we expect to pay for a 16' Zip Dee for our '61 Overlander?

Current MSRP of a 16 foot patio awning fron Zip Dee is as follows: the CFR (cover, fabric and roller tube) is $940. The mounting hardware package for same is $584.
