I am trying to understand what happened. How did the awing fall? Is the z-lock now jammed which is preventing the awning from rolling up or down?

Thanks, for the reply, The only thing I found was the bolt, that goes through the pin with hole for the front side had broke, I had to rachet out remainder threads were very tight , the head end was in threaded hole but nut end of bolt was missing, so I replaced with what manual said in hole 11x32 bolt and nut this holds the cap part to the awning itself on the front , with out the whole arm comes off and awning is free to fall. found a letter in manual from 1994 saying this was dangerous, maybe a flaw hope this helps. without bolt in hole arm and cap are free to fall. Z lock seems free no snap at all
