Awning dull and colorless

Hi, My 2005 Safari 25-B came with a plain gray colored awning and I was thinking that I would like to have one of those nice, bright, blue and white striped awnings like the new Bambi's come with. Can I buy just the cloth insert part of the awning and how much am I talking about?

Hi Bob,

You can change the fabric on your Zip-Dee to any Sunbrella fabric that you like. It's sort of a pain because they rivet the fabric to the roller tube, but anyone with an Airstream should be well versed in the use of a rivet gun .

Pick out a fabric and call Zip-Dee They are nice folks and will make you a new replacement that will be a perfect fit.

If you can make it yourself, you will save some $$$. Using your current awning as a template, measure the fabric to figure out the yardage. Purchase your fabric...here's a source online that sells it for $16/yard.
