ZipDee recommends a natural soap cleaner that they sell very reasonably or you can use Ivory Snow. I mixed it up in a bucket, applied with a car wash soft brush, rolled the awning up for about 15-20 minutes, unrolled it and rinsed it off. I thought it made a big difference.

I've used the Zip-Dee cleaner and it works pretty good. You actually apply the foam (that is generated when you squirt water into the bucket of powder) to the awning and clean it that way. The awning certainly did look good when I was done. Problem is it's not easy to find and trying to buy it from the store at the Airstream site is prohibitively expensive, especially once you add shipping. I've been trying to convince my local Airstream dealer to carry it.

Here is what zip-dee says;
Awnings By ZipDee

I use some laundry detergent, a little bleach, long handled soft brush (car wash brush) roll it up for a few minutes, rinse well, let dry.
Once/year keeps ours looking new.
