Haven't made any progress on this yet. Stuff is still sitting in the box. I will be sending it back to Carefree or just chalking it up to experience and move on. ZipDee has an option but I haven't ever used a riveting tool so I am a little nervous about messing up the awning.

Just did one on ours.
No worries, new rivets and snaps included. Buy a river puller and do it. New snaps go between the skirt and the roller, follow included instructions.

I hate the fact that ZIP DEE has no grove. Using their solar shade will require the use of a step ladder to put-up and take down which is dangerous! Any option will be appreciated.

Again, I don't see the need for a stepladder, unless I am misunderstanding something.
The rivets were easy to install (pop rivets) and the you just snap on the shade before you raise the awning.
I just noticed that this is an old thread - another is running at the same time.

Our awning is too high so a ladder is the only way to reach it.

Roll the awning out, place the arms to hold the awning from rolling up, DON’T extend the arms yet, snap screen onto awning, NOW extend the arms.

Looking to put the sunscreen I had on my previous trailer onto my current trailer. Does anyone have a supplier for the snaps?

As to fasteners — if Sailrite doesn’t have what you need, it doesn’t exist.

Over the years there have only been a handful of times I really needed a sunscreen and in those cases only for an hour or so. I use wire clothespins to attach a tarp.
You could also put some grommets in the awning valence. Wayfair has pretty cheap sunscreens
