Peter, there should be a small lever at the front (trailer front) end of the roller tube. If you move the lever from the position it is in to the other position it is able to move to, and release the two catches on the arms, the awning should unfurl.

You need to move the little traveling lock that ties the beams together, there is also a handle that needs to be lifted to unlock the catch at the top of the awning, this needs to be done to both sides. The awning should open at this time. Then you need to slid up the arms to adjust the awning.Man it would be a lot easier to show than to tell.Hope I didn`t confuse you totally.Dave

Know nothing about AA,if you need a complete awning,I think I would go with a Zip Dee,
they were on sale at vintage trailer supply,Out of doors mart, and Inland rv. Dave

hi

thanks for info..

i have just tried to unfold the awning. and it's working, but the fabric has 2 "cracks" and the spring didn't work, so i have to roll it back in by hand. i assume it normal will roll back in by it self ??

so i might be looking for a replacement unit, a new zip dee looks nice.
where can i buy one ?
and which size fits my 27" Overlander from 1969 ?

thanks..

/Peter

Measure the awning track that is above the door. Measure from where your present awning is mounted, center of arm, to rear center of arm. This will be the size awning that you need.
