Your Bambi came from the factory with the awning rail on the curb-side, but the awning was an aftermarket accessory. When your Bambi was new, a pole-type awning probably would have been the more likely awning of choice. Most canvas awning makers (found in your telephone book Yellow Pages) can manufacture a "pole-type" awning for your coach.
The second option would be to have an automatic roll-up awning fabricated for your Bambi. There is only one company who consistently manufactures high-quality roll-up wanings for our Vintage Airstreams, and that company is
Zip Dee. The awning arms that fit the curvature of the Vintage Airstream body are the components that the other manufacturers have discontinued, but Zip Dee continues to support their products for our Vintage coaches.
Good luck with your coach!
