on really really long trailers, one looooong streetside window awning can be a problem...
the roller tube will bow a bit and there is little flexibility in deployment.
with shorter or mid size streams this isn't really an issue.
__________
many short awnings means more HOLES in the skin, more places to seal and so on...
and it's a bit annoying when washing (getting around the arms/struts)
________
the UPside to a full length side awning is...
covering skin space between windows means better cooling
and less water flowing UNDER d'stream when it rains.
________
my unit has 3 window sized awnings at the 3 rear bedroom windows (see da pic in the links) ...
AND a ~20 ft streetside awning that runs from lounge, past the galley and near the shower wall.
________
lots of little window awnings look cute, but full coverage on a 25 with ONE is a good idea.
this thread has a bunch of pics that reflect the various options...
