1976 Argosy 28' awning replacement

We have, we believe, all the hardware for replacing our awning. We will need new springs and possibly longer tube..... Currently a9' length. Can anyone point me to an exploded view of the contour arms for the awning? Suggestions on spring replacements? We have completed our refurbish of the Argosyand are very happy with it. Thank you in advance.

As a starting point, post a couple of photo's of what you do have.

Then, if possible, someone can help you.

Most Argosy's I have seen including mine have A&E awnings which have heavier curved arms like yours. Most Airstream's I have seen have Zip-Dee awnings which have smaller angular arms. Another manufacturer I am not familiar with is Carefree. I suspect yours are A&E.

If you can verify which manufacturers arms you have you should be able to order a new longer roller tube with fabric in the color of your choice from a retailer and re-use your arms. I would have them install the arms when the tube is installed so they are placed at the right distance and all the hardware is correct.

My A&E tube and arms were good and Camping World installed new OEM fabric for about $400.
