18' Traveler Awning

I could use a little advice.
The Rail is 8' so I was thinking about 7'9" Wide for that Rail. Curious about the Length 8' or 9' or?
I am also considering Window Awnings but would appreciate any advice.
thanks in advance!

I prefer 9 ft. Assume you mean a pole awning? No experience with AS window awnings but seems like a great idea.

Zip-Dee makes awnings of any size for AS & other brands, I don't no how long they will make for door side. Measure from where wrap around front & back meets side panels will giv what size needed as arms secure into sides at these points, they also make window awnings any size but will need awning rail for them. Phone Zip-Dee they will answer your questions. Measurements are critical as they make them to those specs.,if you don't want to install yourself they have qualified dealers. Any of awning manuf. will make window awnings but only Zip-Dee makes curved arms for sides of trailer that I no of.
Curved arms not needed for windows. Zip-Dee is best awning manufact. plus if doing sides & window fab. will match colors chosen. They only use sunbrella fabs. not laminated as others use. You can also make slip on covers for windows, if you pm me I can explain how as several ways to make. I made some for 66 & 67 windows, pur sunbrella fab. matching full awning.

Thanks BambiTex, I thought that 9' would be a better fit.

Sorry featherbedder, I should have been more specific. It will be a Rope & Pole Awning to fit my existing rail. I agree that Zip Dee makes great awnings, I have them on my '82 Newell.

The 18' Traveler will be as close to original as possible today. The link to my restoration is in my signature.
