Wipe on Shiny stuff

Any one ever tried wiping a solution such as Armor All or a similar substance on their AS?

I was reading at the Silver Streak site that SS owners sometimes apply Armor All and even transmission fluid on their SS to attain a sheen.

Although the SS is not coated with a clear coating like the AS, I was wondering if any AS owners had done something similar.

Maybe there is a substance that will give it that "wet look" until I can get to the polishing phase of restoration.

I have always found that POW works well. (plain old water)

It WILL give you that "wet look"

only problem,

it dries and leave no sheen

I use turtle wax liquid on mine. Easy to apply and looks good.
I also have spot cleaned with Meguir's quick detailer and it works well too.

I've heard that some A/S owners use WD-40 to clean and shine the skin but I haven't tried it. Any thoughts on this out there?

I think it was Jeff Foxworthy who said "If it can't be fixed with duct tape or WD-40, that sucker's broke!"

The wife used a product called buffalo milk that she purchased on QVC it does a very nice job with out to much elbow greese I've also used it on my Harley between details its not as shiny as polishing compound than carnuba wax on painted surfaces but it does a heck of a job on walbarized airstreams.

I know that RV Andy is a fan of Future Floor Wax on the inside
of campers......

I wonder ?????
