Window trim salt corrosion

AS sat by the marsh for 8 years. I have this white film on all window frames and door frames. Have tried different compunds, polishes, buffers and other things to remove the white residue. The only thing that I have found that works is fine bronze wool I bought from a marine store. It is very labor intensive. I have to polish each square inch. 1st picture is the before and 2nd picture is where I partially removed the residue with the bronze wool. Any help or suggestions appreciated. The areas around the rivets are the hardest parts. Thanks. Jack

Jack,
As you are finding out aluminum and salt air don't mix. Have you tried a green Scotch Brite pad? No matter what you do, It is going to take a lot of elbow grease and time to clean your window frames. After you get them cleaned and polished I would suggest taping them off and spraying them with a clearcoat of Krylon Crystal in a rattle can. That should preserve your work for a while.

Had some of the same on my belt and trim lines I used 400 grit sanding sponge wet to get most then went a finer grade and compound to get out the scratches made by the 400.

I used the 220, 320, 400, 600 wet sanding on the propane tanks. Then coarse and fine rubbing compound. Finished with Mother's. Really liked the results, but was hesitant to use wet sanding on the window trim. Will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks. Jack

Not sure if Airstream went to a lower grade aluminum, I have corrosion on every window frame on my 2021.
