Who will polish my airstream for me

I am located in New Mexico and am looking for someone who will polish my 1965, 26' overlander. If anyone has a source, I would like to have that information. Thank you so very much.

Hey, another member in our neck of the woods!

We have good WBCCI friends in Ranchos, too!

Lynn

PS: Sorry, I don't know of anybody in our immediate neck of the woods that does polish jobs. We're planning to work on ours as soon as we can, though it unforunately isn't at the top of the list of our jobs around here.

There are many polishers around.

You can expect to pay $300.00 per foot for the better ones.

BUT, after you have it polished, you must wax it "every month".

If you don't want to wax it once a month, then you will waste every penny of the polishing costs.

Your Airstream exterior used "Alclad" aluminum.

It hates our atmosphere, and must be protected with a wax, or clear coat as Airstream did.

If you want to do it yourself, go to Home Depot and get a small piece of that material.

Then, buy all the polishing equipment and materials that you will need.

After a couple of days, you may decide to leave the trailer alone, since your still working on the sample piece.

Andy

Sort of far for you, but there is a guy in Austin, Texas that polishes Airstreams. I've seen his add on Craigslist there, so you could probably do a search on Austin Craigs and get his info.

You know, the students at my university are always looking for ways to make money, I ought to set up a group of them with polishing supplies. I'd pay them to do mine, but on a professors pay I will be doing my own.

Hey, Rodney, not a bad idea!

Wait until you leave the university before complaining about the pay, though. We feel like we've been pauperized in our post-university lives!

I am in Estancia. If you can leave it for a while I can polish it.

Not really complaining (much) I get by and the job gives me the freedom to travel quite a bit. I'm just saying that the pay doesn't allow one very much wiggle room.
