What's new in Trailer Wax???

Time to get my trailer ready for the winter and want to give it a good coat of wax. Any suggestions as to what kind of wax really works to protect the original clear coat? I read through some of the threads on the subject but thought their might be some new takes on the subject. For the most part the exterior is in good shape with just a few scratches from tree branches.
