Ours is Alclad type and it shines up real nice. There was clearcoat in small places around attachments, and also on the underneath shells. The the above is correct, the newer models have a sort of brushed finish to them. I doubt with any ease you will get a shiny finish without a lot of trouble.

my understanding on my 2007 is that it should be treated the same as a new car finish.hence just wash and wax.nothing like the old clearcoat on older airstreams.since new all i have done to mine is the same carwash i use on my truck and it looks brand new.alcoa tested this finish in the hot fla sun and elements and their new technology should withstand most climates.on your unit i would hand wash and wax only.if it was sitting in a barn the dirt will come off after a few washes.
