Question What to wash with?

Hello I am going to be washing a 1999 25' Safari and the roof is really dirty with unidentifiable green algae like stuff and I am curious what I would use to clean it with. If you could help me I would be very thankful!

Thumbs up Welcome Aboard...

Any good car wash soap, I have used Ivory liquid.

This Simple Green will work well on the Roof or any stubborn area.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

We have towed our sweet Lucy over 50,000 miles. We have always washed her with Dawn dish washing liquid.

Dish washing liquid strips the wax off the trailer. I would only use an auto wash made not to strip the wax off each time you wash it.
For a stuborn stain, now that is something different. Then dish wash det. followed by a good rinse and wax job.

Simple Green also cuts the wax as dish detergents I would stick with car wash stuff.

I use the liquid Turtle Wax Car Wash.

I like car wash soaps the best for reasons stated by others. For the green and black munge, it seems to come off well if there was a good coat of wax or walbernize below same.

I had a Rv'er last weekend tell me to use MOP N GLOW.....He was serious. I don't think it would be a good idea.

I've had good results with Mr Clean Autowash soap and soft long handle brush. The Mr Clean gives you a spotfree rinse too.

Hi, I use Meguires car wash and never wax my trailer.

Note: I live about eight miles from the Pacific Ocean and my trailer is stored outside.

Hi, and no, my trailer hasn't lead a sheltered life.

(1.) Bug collection from trip.

(2.) Ashes from California fire.

(3.) Icesickles from South Dakota.

(4.) Road salt, dirt, grime, and ice.
