What is best order.

I am starting to work on my 85 Excella 31ft. I want to strip the old clear coat, fix leaks by re caulking then polish. I'm thinking the order should be as follows.
1) Strip clear coat
2) Remove old caulking
3) Polish
4 Re do Caulking

My reasoning is that if I remove the caulking first when I strip the water will enter into the trailer and if I re caulk before polishing the Polisher may interfere with the new caulking. I will be starting on the roof as it needs some attention. Thanks for your help

Sounds good to me!

Something to be aware of is that a 1985 trailer will not take as good a polish as pre-1980 trailers because the factory stopped using Alclad aluminum (.005 inch of pure aluminum over aluminum alloy sheet) around 1982. Nor will the aluminum surface resist corrosion as well. You may want to consider having it re-clear-coated.
