Hi, funny that you mentioned it; We do have birds in California, But for some reason they like My Lincoln better and leave my Safari alone. I bought some Walbernise, or what ever they call it, and decided to try it out on my Lincoln. I think it was good for about a week, so I never put it on my Safari. As time went on, I decided not to wax my trailer, ever.

Hi, this is why I rinse my trailer off very well before using a mitt or brush on it. I saw an Airstream in a camp ground once that was very scratched up. The owner told me he that he washed it with mud all over it.

I have used MS many times to remove pitch/sap also to clean the panels for caulking, leak repair. The microfiber has a nice soft texture that helps the process.

Bug and tar remover can help, but it takes a while. The longer pine sap is on there, the worse it gets as it bakes on and sometimes can discolor the surface.

After removing it, reapply wax or other sealant; it makes it easier to get the next blob of sap off. Some bug and tar removers have a wax added, but I don't know how good a wax it is.

Lots of other solvents could remove it too including mineral spirits. Plasticoat or other coating may be ready to peel or disappear or whatever it will do and a strong solvent could damage it. If it is ready to go, the solvent will only speed it up a little, though.
