WBCCI Numbers on my trailer

1. Is it possible to switch them to your name, ie. my PO had numbers on the trailer, but didn't want to give them up - dont think he ever got a new trailer, but I'm now stuck with his humbers, and 2.

2. Is there a way to get the numbers off after years without leaving a mark?

If answer to 2 is no, then answer to one needs to be yes ... right?

Rosie, that was pretty much our story when we joined. The POs had been members (many years before); the outlines of the numbers were still visible (in spite of polishing). We called HQ and found that the original numbers were still available.

Speaking which, does anybody have a really old WBCCI directory, like late 60s, maybe 70s? It would be interesting to know who the POs were.

Give the office in Jackson Center a call. They may be able to switch the numbers to you if they have been dormant over a year.

Our story got kind of injected into the discussion here and in a different thread, so I'll close this part of the story:

I've received a couple of PMs and emails about our number, 21043. Near as we can figure, the POs joined WBCCI in 1970. However, they quit (and we know why: They stopped RVing), and the number was reused by some other folks (with a different rig) for a while. Then they gave up the number for whatever reason, and we got the original number back for this rig.

Oh, and our rig? It was pretty clear when we got it in the 90s that it had been sitting in the field near the POs house for quite a long time. Thank heavens that it had windows closed, but that's about the best we could say.

Again, thank you to all who PM'd or emailed!
