Waxing Product

I hope there is a photo of Mequire Deep Crystal Carnauba wax product. I have a 2000 Bambi and wonder if anyone has used this product on the exterior and if this good for waxing the trailer. It says it does not harm the clear coat.

wonder how long it last vs something like nu Finish wax which will last a good long while I have found on my cars. I wash and then do a wax, give it a week or so and repeat the process. the finish will last a good year or more with just a wash job.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax - seems to work well with no apparent negative effect on the clear coat finish.

An experiment.

I have used different polishes on our Airstream and they always look shiny. But they really don't do much for the exposed panel edges, rivet holes, and exterior accessories. CorrosionX and/or Boeshield T9 have been effective for that purpose, no corrosion anywhere on our Airstream in our 6th year.

Spending this trip on the coast, a couple of weeks ago I sprayed the exterior parts mentioned with CorrosionX and let soak for a day. Of course it was greasy, so I rubbed it into the complete panels with soft rags and it came out looking shiny as new. Even the stainless steel segment protectors and stainless steel covers look terrific.

I wonder how long it will last; in the meantime we have some confidence our Airstream has good corrosion protection.

CorrosionX & Boeshield T9 - Redundant or Additive

I have read the many posts regarding the need to protect an AS's seams, rivets, etc. against filiform corrosion. Makes sense to me. Early on, I became a dedicated user of CorrosionX.

A number of the posts that I have read seem to recommend the use of CorrosionX AND Boeshield, other posts suggest to use either CorrosionX OR Boeshield.

So my question today is: Is it redundant or is it additive to use both products?

any good auto was will keep the clear coat looking nice. I recommend Liquid Glass which worked great for me and is very long lasting.
Keep a spray bottle of automobile windshield cleaner around for touch up and bird stuff that gets on the skin.. Non ammonia.

Good tip about those corrosion products. My old 66 has some filiform I struggle with...

I use CorrosionX on the shell because it works well and leaves little visible residue, and Boeshield T9 for the underbody steel because it leaves a protective barrier of paraffin wax.

In addition to waxing the shell and protecting against filiform corrosion, what are you all doing to protect the frame/hitch? The points to which my chains attach, as well as other points of the frame and ProPride hitch are already rusting where the paint has chipped off.

I suppose I should take a wire brush to it and hit it with some spray paint ... then Boshield or CorrosionX? Thoughts? Pics? I don't want to hijack the thread but it seems like this question is relevant ... ?

Thanks,
Rich

I rattle can my tongue every now and then. I don't want to spray any protectant on it for fear of the next spray paint job not sticking.

I keep a can of CorrosionX handy in an exterior compartment. If there's a paint chip on the hitch or frame, give it a shot. When we do our periodic inspections and maintenance I wipe them off and touch up with paint. If I see a nick or scratch on the Airstream shell, same thing.

I also use it to lube our ProPride receiver box and stinger before hitching, and I shoot a little on the w.d. jack hangers and lift bar where they constantly rub, as well as the chain hangers on the truck's receiver. It's also a good lube for the stabilizer jack screws that doubles for corrosion protection on them.

I think it came out pretty good. Not the best pics but you get the idea.
