Thumbs up Washing Cyclowraps

I've gone through one bundle of cyclowraps and started on the second one. I have heard about taking them to a local coin laundry and running them through the washer. My question is, regular detergent or what? Hot water, warm or cold? Clorox or not? Fabric softener or not? Delicate dry or air dry? I've got the home laundry down pat but this is a little different.

I took a couple wraps to the laundry not long ago, washed in warm water, no Clorox, no fabric softener and the wraps came out a little stiff after the dryer.

I soak mine in a bucket of cold water and a quarter cup of tsp for two days. They come out clean.I do the same with my wool bonnets. They can then be thrown in with regular wash but will shrink.Could be rinsed well and hung up to dry.I dry the wool bonnets by spinning in polisher with bonnet in a bucket.Works great and no shrinking.

TSP: Tri Sodium Phosphate

Basically a detergent. Can buy it at any hardware store.Used for cleaning before painting.Comes in a small milk carton. Not expensive.

I washed mine at home with warm water and regular laundry soap. I used fabric softner in the dryer. I also ran a empty cycle through the washer after and then cleaned up with 409. Of course I washed my polishing clothes in the next load for insurance. This has been repeated several times with no black being transfered to our clothes.

Cyclowrap comes from http://www.perfectpolish.com/UsingCycloWraps.htm and is used instead of a bonnet on the cyclo polisher.Gets a better shine.I bought the cyclo with the pad kit 2 from http://www.perfectpolish.com/Cyclo%2...20Aluminum.htm
everything you need right there.

cyclowrap- The cloak of zealousness that those who subscribe to a certain form of Airstream polishing wear when polishing, or discussing that method.
