Washing A.S. at a truck wash?

So I asked a truck wash co. That cleans aluminum tankers if they wash airstreams and of it would clean off the black lines stains and they said it would take all that off ,but airstream would turn white because of chemical and would need to be buffed then to get polish finish. So what yall think?

They use acid to clean aluminum tankers.

What about a regular truck wash, that just does tractor/freight trailers?

I would hazard that it depends upon the pressure / angle of the wash system.

I have only been through a truck wash once. I believe they use an acid wash on tankers but they said it should not be used on the RV (due to clear coat?) so they did not - supposedly!

They did use some sort of wax in the rinse.

Did a pretty good job of getting the Canadian road salt off on a southbound winter trip, but cost me $60 so I only did it once!

Brian.
