I am planning on mirroring my Airstream it is a 31foot trailer and I was wondering just how much polish to buy? And what type of polish too buy (walbernize or nuvite). I visited nuvite's web site and obtained a lot of helpful information about what grade to apply according to the condition of the aluminum, but which to use, which to use???

Best bet is to review (search) the threads on polishing to get an idea on what materials and equipment needed.

Good luck

I agree with garry, there is a lot of info on polishing here on the forums. But to help clear things up a bit for you...Walbernize is intended more as a protectant for clear coat-type finishes, much like a wax for your car. Nuvite is a series of compounds used for removal of oxidation.

For polishing a vintage trailer, there are many methods, however the most widely subscrided to method is the Nuvite/compounding/cyclo-polishing techniques as found on the website....

Good luck in whatever you decide to do!

If the PHOTO site ever works again I have a series of progress shots of polishing my 76 Caravanner with Nuvite. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may encounter.
