Walbernize Equivalent?
I am hoping to get some clearcoat protection on my ’67 Overlander before a planned trip to Florida, and had hoped to get a coat of Walbernize RV Super Seal applied beforehand. Problem is that I have to mail order all things Airstream.
As I understand it, the product is applied, allowed to dry to a haze, then buffed off.
Wouldn’t any wax, rated safe for clearcoat, from the local auto parts store do just as well? Does anyone recommend a product which may be more easily available?
Thanks,
Tom

I use Liquid Glass sealant which I bought at pep boys. Its 17 bucks a can, but one can did my Airstream twice, three coats each time. Stuff is hard as a rock when its on. The sun bakes it harder.
Wax works but doesn't last long.

Rejex. It is mail order so won't help this time, but it is some good stuff.

Would RejeX work to seal in a trailer that has been high sheen polished? Or would the liquid glass mentioned above do the trick? I have never used either product and would be interested in your full comments, or anyone else that has sealed a polished trailer.

not sure about how long the LG would seal your highly polished rig, but on my "still very shiny, but not a mirror" one.....it has kept the shine with a few rinses and only one wash since last summer.
I recently sealed a non clearcoated area that I polished, and will see how it holds up.
If you are going to be in the semi-tropical sun, and ocean salt air, I would want to put on two or three coats, as directed on the can. I live in Georgia, and have made two Fla trips since applying the stuff.

Thanks,
I am in Northern Mississippi, (Hot and Humid) but no salt air so I am safe there. Most of my travels will be to the north but in the central states so I don't think Salt Air will be a problem except for the visit to Orlando (Disney, Epcot, etc.) next year, but even that will be only a week or so.
Do you suggest a coating 3 times to insure its durability?
About how long does the LG last before you need to redo the coating?
Also is it a wipe on, let dry, wipe off type of material?
Thanks again....................

Okay I read the specifications on all 3 and the RejeX wins inmy opinion. It seems to be better than the Walbernize and btter than the Liquid Glass. At least I decided to give it a try and ordered today.
