Tread Lightly!

Well, now that I've stripped the clear coat as high as I can reach from our '87' 290 motorhome I have a question. Taking the clear coat off the top of the rig is going to be tougher. I know I can't walk on the roof, and I know I can't afford to buy scaffolding to set up in my driveway to suspend me over the rig for the hours and hours it's going to take to strip it and buff it out, so what do other AS owners do? I'm afraid my 220 pounds will put an irrepairable dent wherever I put down the weight! Are there any great ideas out there? Eric

Many rental agencies rent scaffolding by the day or week.

Remember you don't need enough to cover the whole Airstream, one section will do - simply move either the Airstream or the scaffolding back and forth.

If you have friends in the construction business they may be willing to rent you a few sections during the fall/winter season when their call for it is low.

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.
